A group of pro-Palestine protesters have been arrested after briefly disrupting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. The New York Police Department arrested 21 people in Manhattan on Thursday morning, local outlet ABC 7 NY reports, after the group ran in front of the Ronald McDonald float and briefly stopped the parade.

Hundreds of demonstrators participated in a pro-Palestinian protest in Amsterdam on Saturday, marching from the Stopera to Museumplein after city authorities banned the event from its originally planned location at Dam Square.

New York City police said they arrested 21 people after they sat down on the parade, protesting with Palestinian flags and a "Don't Celebrate Genocide" banner.
