Ramdas Athawale urged BJP high command to take the decision soon after talking with all three leaders, Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar.

In the recently-concluded Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party, securing 132 seats, followed by Shinde-led Shiv Sena with 57 and Ajit Pawar-led NCP with 41. The MahaYuti alliance collectively won a record 230 of the 288 seats, marking a historic victory.

After BJP-led Mahayuti security a major victory in Maharashtra elelctions, the two prominent name that have came up for the CM post is Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde. However, speculations have hinted that as BJP won a significant amount of seats, Fadnavis is most likely the first choice.

Union Minister and RPI-Athawale President, Ramdas Athawale, expressed his views on the ongoing political Situation in Maharashtra. Athawale stated that the issue should be resolved soon, with BJP's high command deciding to appoint Devendra Fadnavis as the Chief Minister.

A day earlier, Athawale had suggested that Shinde could become the deputy chief minister or shift to the Centre and join the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
