The Met Office has issued weather warnings as Storm Bert arrives in Britain, prompting a slew of yellow and amber weather alerts. Storm Bert, the second storm of the year, is expected to bring heavy snowfall and rain as well as fast winds across the country this weekend.

Storm Bert battered Britain with snow, rain and strong winds on Saturday, killing one person and closing several railway lines, bridges and roads. The storm also hit Ireland, flooding roads in the west and cutting power to tens of thousands of customers.
