The social media platform X was temporarily available again in Brazil amid a ban as the result of an update to its servers, the company said.

Some Brazilian users have regained access to X despite a nationwide ban put in place by the country’s Supreme Court.

The Elon Musk-owned company says a switch of network service providers for all of Latin America created "an inadvertent and temporary service restoration" after a powerful Brazilian judge blocked X nationwide.

X is reportedly back online for many people in Brazil, more than two weeks after the service was blocked in the country. The change, though, isn’t because Brazil’s government has reversed its stance on the Elon Musk-owned platform.

Earlier this month, Brazil’s 28 million or so X users found themselves without a platform after the government ordered the National Telecommunications Agency to block access to the app.
