Rhett Lashlee’s SMU squad is headed to the ACC championship, while the Big 12 is being cast aside for Boise State.

Kevin Jennings threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns as ninth-ranked SMU completed a sweep of its first Atlantic Coast Conference schedule with a 38-6 win over California.

SMU will face the Clemson Tigers next Saturday for the ACC Championship.

After jumping out to a 21-0 lead, the Mustangs did not return to the red zone. Their second-half points came on a 48-yard field goal by Collin Rogers, a 23-yard Smith receiving touchdown after McGill’s interception and Stone’s pass to Smith.

The No. 12 Tigers (9-3) will face No. 9 SMU (11-1) in Charlotte on Dec. 7 (8 p.m. ET, ESPN) at Bank of America Stadium. Clemson made the ACC title game after Syracuse upset Miami on Saturday. This will be the first meeting between Clemson and SMU after the Mustangs joined the ACC this year.
